I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) specializing in providing counseling services for individuals, couples, children, and families. I enjoy working with many different clients and serving their needs. I maintain a private practice in Roseville, CA.
Becoming a counselor is a special calling, and choosing to participate in counseling has the potential to become important, life-changing work. I have seven years experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at a school district counseling center in the community, where I worked with many children and teens. I also have two years experience providing counseling services to clients at a faith-based agency. I have been in private practice in Roseville for two years. I am a graduate of CSU, Sacramento, specializing in Psychology and Counselor Education. Among my areas of interest and expertise are helping clients with anxiety and depression, couples counseling, singles going through relationship transitions, blended families, women's issues, and healing from grief and loss. As a Christian Counselor, I understand the importance of faith in your life. I welcome clients of all spiritual and religious backgrounds, and people that consider themselves spiritual but not religious. I am a patient, warm, interactive, and kind therapist. My clients tell me I have a calming presence. With compassion and understanding, I work with people to help build on their strengths to attain the personal growth they desire. I am a natural encourager and do my best to maintain a positive perspective in everything I do. Many times when people seek counseling, they are in the midst of a significant adjustment in their lives. I understand what it is like to have your life change dramatically: to lie awake at night, wondering what your next step will be, and feeling anxious about what the future holds. I will walk this journey with you. My goal is to help you find a place where it doesn't hurt as much, you are functioning better, and you are feeling more confident about your future. Most people seek out counseling services when their world feels like it has turned upside down. You could be going through the most challenging experience of your life. As you share your story, I will listen with empathy, compassion, and understanding. I will provide practical help to find resources in the community, and will encourage you to build a supportive team of caring people in your life. I will help you learn to cope, and remind you to take good care of yourself in practical, tangible ways. Many people isolate and feel alone in the midst of a complex and unpredictable storm. Some problems are too big to handle on your own. I’m here to help. |
