The teen years are filled with lots of changes for both teens and their parents. In this stage of life, it is natural for teens to gravitate toward their friends and start forming important relationships outside of the family.
Many families find it helpful for teens to have someone they trust, like a counselor, to help them process the changes they are going through at this stage of life. A lot of teens find the most difficult thing to do is show up for their first counseling session. Once they figure out counseling is a safe place to discuss their needs, and discover someone really cares about what they are going through, they often find it to be a great relief.
If you are concerned about how your teenager is doing in an area of their life, or worried about some choices they are making, feel free to give me a call.
